My Story

Joshua Mathews is a passionate vocal producer dedicated to helping artists find their authentic sound. His journey into music began in high school, where he discovered his love for performing while rapping with friends. What started as playful sessions soon turned into a serious pursuit, as Joshua realized that music wasn’t just a pastime—it was his true calling.

During his undergraduate studies at Hampton University, Joshua majored in music audio production and sang in the choir, honing both his vocal and technical skills. Recognizing the need for a supportive community, he co-founded the A.C.E Program (Artists, Creatives, and Engineers) with a few classmates. This initiative created a safe space for musicians and audio enthusiasts to collaborate and grow together.

Joshua’s experience as an artist further enriched his journey. He had the privilege of opening for renowned acts such as Mariah the Scientist, Lola Brooke, and Nardo Wick. These live performances provided invaluable knowledge—not just about the craft of performance, but also about what it means to connect with an audience and to bring out the best in every voice. This experience continues to inform his approach to vocal production and engineering today.

Eager to refine his skills even further, Joshua pursued a master’s degree at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Immersed in a global community of musicians, he gained extensive knowledge in recording, mixing, and vocal production techniques. His time at Berklee allowed him to work with a diverse range of artists, each project sharpening his skills and deepening his understanding of how to craft exceptional vocal performances across genres.

Presently in his career, Joshua’s mission is to bring every artist’s vision to life. He believes that every voice has a story to tell and that, with the right guidance and production, that story can resonate powerfully with listeners. His approach combines technical expertise, creative intuition, and a deep respect for the artist’s vision, ensuring that every track he works on is as unique and compelling as the voice behind it.
